Start of training: Craiss welcomes five new talents

• Training in freight forwarding and logistics services, warehouse logistics and IT systems integration

• Mühlacker-based logistics service provider is currently training a total of eleven specialists

• Focus on developing well-rounded specialists

On 1 September, Craiss welcomed a total of five new trainees, including three budding management assistants for freight forwarding and logistics services, a future warehouse specialist, and a budding IT specialist for system integration.

Mühlacker, 2 September 2026 – Five new trainees have been supporting Craiss Generation Logistik GmbH & Co. KG since 1 September. The new recruits include three prospective freight forwarding and logistics services clerks, one prospective warehouse specialist and one prospective IT specialist for systems integration. Craiss is welcoming the new arrivals with a multi-day induction programme at its headquarters before they are assigned to their training locations in Mühlacker and Bretten. The logistics service provider is currently training a total of eleven specialists.

"We see training as a long-term investment in the future of our company. We are therefore all the more pleased that we were able to fill all available training positions for 2026 at an early stage. With our new trainees, we are welcoming five young people who already impressed us with their motivation and enthusiasm for their chosen profession during the application process," says Laura Engelhardt, Team Lead HR – People & Culture at Craiss.

The three new prospective freight forwarding and logistics services clerks are completing their training at the Mühlacker and Bretten locations, while the prospective warehouse logistics specialist is based in Mühlacker. The fifth new employee will begin training as an IT specialist for systems integration in Mühlacker with immediate effect.

A varied induction programme
On the first day, the main focus was on getting to know one another: "As a family-owned company, we aim to retain our new employees at Craiss for the long term. That's why it's important to us that they feel comfortable from day one and get to know the people they will be working with in the future," says Engelhardt. Tuesday's programme therefore included an introduction to the company structure and the training programme, a shared lunch and an informal opportunity to meet the management team, trainers and future colleagues. Another highlight is the cross-year trainee outing scheduled for the second week of September, when trainees from all three training years and those who have recently completed their training will come together in a relaxed atmosphere.

Over the coming days, the new trainees will attend their first training sessions and gain insights into the company's various areas of operation. Among other things, they will familiarise themselves with the vehicle fleet and even have the opportunity to sit in a lorry themselves. "Training at Craiss means discovering the diversity of logistics. We want to develop our trainees step by step into well-rounded specialists who understand the connections between different areas and think across departmental boundaries," explains Engelhardt.

This is not just about imparting professional skills, but also about developing personal strengths. "Initiative, willingness to learn and the ability to think beyond one's immediate area of responsibility are important prerequisites for successful training – and these are precisely the qualities we foster at Craiss. Those who show commitment will also find a wide range of opportunities at our company to develop professionally and personally after completing their training," says Engelhardt. These include, for example, further training to become a business administrator (Fachwirt) or the opportunity to pursue a dual study programme.

In 2026, five former trainees will remain with the company after completing their training and will continue to support Craiss in the areas of warehouse logistics and office management, as well as as freight forwarding clerks and IT specialists.
