Mühlacker, 2nd September 2025 – Craiss Generation Logistik GmbH & Co. KG welcomed five new trainees to its headquarters in Mühlacker on 1st September. Among these junior employees are three future management assistants for freight forwarding and logistics services and two budding management assistants for office management. The newcomers will undergo a four-day welcome programme at the headquarters before being allocated to their training locations in Mühlacker, Bretten and Kleinenberg. In total, the logistics service provider is currently training 16 specialists.

“For us, training new talent is not only an opportunity to provide young adults with prospects but, above all, an investment in the future: against the background of the shortage of skilled workers, it is becoming increasingly important to train qualified staff ourselves,” says Dirk Fuhrmann, Head of Human Resources and authorised signatory at Craiss Generation Logistik GmbH & Co. KG, adding: “It is particularly gratifying that we were once again able to fill all open training positions.”

Three of the new trainees will start as management assistants for freight forwarding and logistics services and will be trained at the Mühlacker and Bretten sites. The other two newcomers will start as management assistants for office management, with one being trained in Mühlacker and one in Kleinenberg.

Clara Sindermann, Training Manager at Craiss, says: “We aim to keep our new employees with us for the long term. We therefore attach great importance to making them feel comfortable with us right from the start and focus on close support and targeted inductions from day one.” During this process, the trainers should be considered mentors who support the trainees and familiarise them with the corporate culture. In addition to working with the trainees individually in this way, Craiss also supports them with tutoring for their vocational school lessons, if required.

As part of their training, these young talents will pass through several departments, of which the freight forwarding department is mandatory for all trainees, regardless of their professional area. Dirk Fuhrmann says: “This gives them a deep understanding of our core business and allows them to experience first-hand what makes us who we are as a company.”

To ensure a smoother start to their professional lives at Craiss, the new trainees were already invited to a cross-year trainee event before starting their training, where they got to know both each other and their colleagues from the second and third years of training, as well as their newly qualified peers, in a relaxed atmosphere. Clara Sindermann says: “This way, they will incorporate the Craiss DNA right from the start.”

In the coming days, the new trainees will get to know their future colleagues, the company structure and departments as well as the vehicle fleet as part of a welcome week.
