Albert Craiss GmbH & Co. KG. is extending its warehouse in Karlsruhe. With a floor space of around 2,000 square metres and shelving for around 6,000 euro-pallets, the logistics service provider is significantly expanding its existing storage capacity. Craiss manages its warehouses in the French border town for customers from the automotive, machine and tool construction, electronics and retail sectors. Integrated logistics services include receipt of goods, packaging and shipping. If required, the logistics specialist also provides other services such as picking, sequencing, assembly or installation. Craiss uses an in-house warehouse management system to control the processes digitally and thus ensure efficiency and transparency.

"With the expansion of our warehouse in Karlsruhe, we are responding to the steadily increasing demand for intelligent logistics solutions," says Jörg Schneider, Director of Contract Logistics at Albert Craiss GmbH & Co. KG. The multi-client storage centre in the west of Baden-Württemberg now comprises 18,000 square metres and is equipped with a modern mobile pallet rack. "That means that floor area and euro-pallet spaces are once again available and directly accessible, ”Schneider continues. With a rail connection and its close proximity to the Rhine river port, the warehouse is not only accessible by road but can also be reached inexpensively by river and rail.

With its eleven dedicated multi-user warehouses across Germany, Craiss has a total of 170,000 square metres of floor space. All warehouses are equipped with an in-house warehouse management system. Scanner-based processes for goods handling make for a fast and transparent flow of digital information, which thanks to the appropriate interfaces also includes the customer system. The Mühlacker logistics service provider also offers a wide range of logistics solutions along the entire supply chain with various value-added services such as picking, sequencing, packaging, shipping, inventory monitoring and disposition.
